Pre-trip fun and trauma

Yesterday while trying to export photos from my phone to our computer I got impatient and unplugged the setup in the middle of a software update. Big mistake. Phone frozen. So, what to do? Try to wait for the battery to ru. Out of juice and start over. Waking a few times overnight the phone was still stuck and “on”. I lay awake fretting about the cost, something we hardly could afford, and time, something I didn’t want to waste on fixing some tech issue, it would take to get a new phone or this one working again. But, by the time I got up this morning the battery had died. So I tried a few time to get things going again. No luck. The laptop finally said
There was some big error and to look at the info to see what. So, I did and ended up downloading a new software for the laptop. Finally, after
3 hours, things are working again. A “smart phone” is great
When it works. But, not so when it doesn’t and lol if your
Contacts, calendar, apps and travel info are in that
Blasted Thing and you fear you will never get what you need back. Paper is safe!!

And, the other crazy happening was Erik thinking we had to get up at 1am to leave for our flights. Man, was he happy when he learned our flight is in the evening and we have all the morning to get ready.

Crazy for sure!!!
